Breeding guinea pigs is not recommended, and may require a permit depending on your location. According to https://www.tdlr.texas.gov/breeders you don't need a permit to breed guinea pigs in Texas. Breeding can get out of control very quickly without the proper setup. Having A Minimum of 5 enclosures would be a wise choice before attempting to breed guinea pigs. Although breeding is not Recommended we can thank guinea pig breeders for a popular guinea pig breed called Texels among others.
