Do you have ants in a guinea pig habitat? Given the presence of your pets, you may not want to use certain poisons. I have tried a few different strategies to get rid of ants, like pouring boiling water on them, which had little success.
What to do Instead
Try mixing a little Molasses with some Orange Oil and putting it in a quail drinker. The sweet Molasses will attract the ants, the Orange Oil will kill the ants, and the quail drinker will reduce waste and save you money.
Topical Use
Mix the Orange Oil with some water and pour it directly over the ants. Be careful not to get potent solutions on plants.
